Welcome to the Aviano Section of the U.S. Army Veterinary Services Southern European Veterinary Detachment (Aviano Branch). If you are a military member or DoD civilian, you can use the Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF). We want to make your pet's stay in Italy a safe and healthy one.

When visiting us, pets should be on a leash or in a kennel and accompanied
by the owner.

Children 12 years of age and under are highly discouraged in our facility due to safety reasons.

Italian law and base policy require all cats, dogs, and ferrets to be microchipped.

Air Force regulations require pets have an annual rabies vaccination. Although reminders are sent out by our office, it is your responsibility to keep shots current.

We carry shampoos, heartworm and flea/tick prevention and various other products. Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes and are a common problem in Italy. Cats and dogs should be on heartworm prevention year around.

We have a list of groomers, kennels, off-base veterinarians, and supply stores. Stop by for more info $& of locations.

Need to register a pet with us and pressed for time? Print out the registration form/client agreement and bring it by. Only the sponsor (or dependent possessing a POA) is authorized to register pets.
