Commercial Quarters: Travelers on
TDY orders are not authorized to make their own commercial quarter’s
reservations directly with local commercial lodging facilities.
You must contact the Mountain View Lodge. If there is no availability
on base lodging will make the commercial quarter’s (CQs)
reservations for you. For those with CQs reservations there is
no requirement to report to Mountain View Lodge to obtain your
CQs authorization. You can go directly to your hotel.
Member’s in PCS/TLA status:
If lodging does not have room availability on base members are
provided a non-availability (N/A) letter from lodging. Once a
NA letter has been issued the member may make their own arrangements
for CQs. If requested lodging will assist in obtaining commercial
quarters for you. NOTE: A NA letter only authorizes you the use
of commercial quarters. It is not an automatic TLA authorization.
Contact the Housing Management Office to obtain the proper TLA
reimbursement procedure. It is the member’s responsibility
to ensure they know their maximum TLA allowance to ensure they
do not exceed their TLA ceiling. Contact your finance office to
determine your maximum ceiling.
