The Mensa offers traditional Italian lunch items weekdays. The Mensa is operated and managed under the Air Force Club system at Aviano Air Base in order to provide Local Nationals, Italian Air Force and on-base Contractors with a daily lunch meal at reasonable prices, Monday – Friday. The Mensa is also open to DOD ID card holders and their dependants as an alternative eating establishment on-base. The staff hosts numerous Distinguished Visitors and Senior Leadership luncheons at this facility highlighting its affordable Italian food and its friendly staff.

Chef Roberto Murador creates delicious Italian dishes featuring the cuisine of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The food of Friuli-Venezia Giulia is made up of a variety of flavors, which actually unite the cultures present in the region. The Mensa offers variety of first courses, typically pasta, risotto, and/or soup, second courses, typically chicken dish, seafood dish, beef or pork, vegetables, salads, cheeses, smoked/cured cold meats, and regional desserts.
