Bob Sledding on Wheels

The bobsled season at Cortina d’ Ampezzo never closes. This new sport, which got started on the 1st of August 1995, is particularly designed to appeal to anyone who would love to enjoy the thrill of going down the “Queen of the Dolomites” Olympic run… in the summertime! The four place Wheel Taxi Bob (driver and three passengers), aside from its wheels and brakes, is practically identical to the winter version as regards the runs and speeds attained. In addition to the classical run, where speeds of about 110 Km/hr (70 Miles) are attained, the Wheel Taxi Bob also provides “softer” runs, at speeds not exceeding 60 Km/hr (40 Miles), for those who, although less intrepid, still want to experience the special thrills that the Wheel Taxi Bob packs into just over 60 seconds.

Fun Bike Ride
 
This Fun Bike Ride is a great time for families and friends to get together and ride on base or take in the sights around our local Italian areas. Outdoor Recreation has bikes and helmets available. This ride is noncompetitive so bring out the little ones, and the big ones, for a day of fun.


Mountain Biking

Enjoy the pleasurable experience of riding through Cortina’s mountains and green forests, accompanied by the members of the Adrenaline Sport Team. All levels of experience and ability are welcome. (Cortina No Limits)

 Need Camping ideas? We can give you assistance with locations and all your equipment needs. Hiking? We've got trail maps and backpacks. Mountain biking? We also have mountain bikes for rent.
